Learn to Swim Award outcome changes 2018-2019
5 March 2019We have made changes to some of the Awards in our Learn to Swim Programme.
In 2018-2019, we reviewed and amended some of the Award outcomes in the Swim England Learn to Swim Programme.
The changes were made to align with new guidelines and are part of our continuous improvement initiative for Swim England Awards.
These changes are also reflected in our new Swim England Toolkit.
The majority of these outcome changes refer to wording and do not impact how the Learn to Swim Programme is taught, or the skills required for learners to achieve their Award.
Those that do are marked with an asterisk ‘*’ below and the impacts on teaching and learning are described on the downloadable documents.
We wanted to let you know of these changes so you can make any necessary amends to your own Learn to Swim documents and records.
It will also prepare you for how these outcomes will be displayed on our website and other Awards-related products and resources going forward.
