Teaching and Education Conference set to return for 2019

Swim England News

The 2019 Swim England Teaching and Education Conference is set to be the UK’s largest event dedicated to the swimming workforce community.

And the event is to feature the National Swim England Learn to Swim and Workforce Awards for the first time.

The awards and conference will be bringing together more than 350 people to network, learn about and discuss the key topics relating to swimming.

On Monday 18 November, the awards evening will take place, followed by the conference on Tuesday 19 November. The venue for the conference and awards evening is VOCO St John’s in Solihull, near Birmingham.

The theme for the conference is ‘better learning’ and is ideal for teachers delivering the Learn to Swim Programme for school swimming, tutors, CPD presenters, assessors, and approved training centres.

Once again, delegates can expect a fantastic range of engaging keynote speakers, exciting exhibitors, useful workshops, networking opportunities and plenty of chances to have some fun.

The National Swim England Teaching and Education Awards will be presented in the following categories:

  • Educator of the Year
  • Trainee Tutor of the Year
  • Diversity Champion Award
  • Swimming Teacher of the Year
  • Swim School of the Year
  • School Swimming and Water Safety Charter School of the Year

The nomination window for these awards is now open and will close on 16 September 2019.
