Introducing swim21 accreditation for clubs

Swim21 accreditation is Swim England’s recognised kitemark for the development of effective, ethical and sustainable affiliated clubs.

Gaining accreditation is available to all clubs, across sports – including Masters. It can be gained regardless of your club’s size and the activities you deliver.

What is swim21 about?

  • Creating the best possible swimming experience for all
  • Raising the quality of aquatics provision across all areas.
  • National Sport England Clubmark recognition for great quality clubs

There are three modules clubs can aspire to: swim21 Essential, swim21 Club Network, and swim21 Performance.

swim21 Club Essential

The is a key module supporting clubs to grow membership, develop volunteers and ensure the sustainability of activity in line with the objectives of the club. It is accredited every two years.

It is awarded to those clubs who can demonstrate that the pathways, physical environment, coaching practices and support services are all in place for athletes to reach the pinnacle of their aquatic sport.

The Performance module is assessed in three sections: Pre-requisite/Self Assessment Criteria, Physical Environment Criteria, and Coaching Programme Criteria.
