Employment - Guidance for Clubs

The ASA in conjunction with the Institute of Swimming (IoS) the British Swimming Coaches and Teachers Association (BSCTA) and Norton Rose LLP have produced updated employment contract documentation and guidance notes, which member clubs may find of use.

The ASA Legal Department would, in particular, draw to the attention of clubs the legal and taxation implications of the distinction between employed and self employed teachers and coaches.

The ASA has worked closely with Norton Rose LLP who have produced an electronic version of the updated employment contract documentation, which can be accessed from the link below. The electronic version provides options for clubs to choose from, where applicable, which the clubs can select to reflect their particular circumstances. The electronic version will also provide additional information, where relevant, in order that clubs can make informed decisions on specific elements of the contracts.

A username and password will be provided to the ASA affiliated club secretaries. PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS DOCUMENT CAN ONLY BE ACCESSED BY ASA AFFILIATED CLUB OFFICERS WHO WILL HAVE BEEN PROVIDED WITH A UNIQUE USERNAME AND PASSWORD.
