Potential contenders: Adam Brown (PB 21.99) (pictured), Craig Gibbons (PB 22.41)

First trials: Adam Brown defended his title in London, falling short of the FINA A qualification time. However, Adam did go under the time at last year's World Championships and would be eligible to race at London 2012 providing nobody qualifies ahead of him in Sheffield.

First trials: Simon Burnett won gold with James Disney-May, Craig Gibbons and Adam Brown following him home to book 4x100m Free Relay berths at the Games. Burnett has already ruled out going for the individual time at the ASA Nationals but the other three, along with British Gas ITC Loughborough swimmer Grant Turner, may fancy a second crack at it.

Caitlin McClatchey British Swimming

Qualification Time: 1:58.33

Potential contenders: Caitlin McClatchey (PB 1:56.62) (pictured), Jazz Carlin (PB 1:58.29), Keri-anne Payne (PB 1:59.42), Sasha Matthews (PB 1:59.23), Ellie Faulkner (PB 1:58.39), Jo Jackson (PB 1:55.54), Rebecca Adlington (PB 1:56.66)

First trials: Rebecca Turner won a surprise gold in London with Caitlin McClatchey, Ellie Faulkner and Jo Jackson following her home to make up the 4x200m Free Relay quartet. McClatchey secured the FINA A time in London and will qualify for the Games should nobody beat her effort of 1:58.07 in Sheffield. Rebecca Adlington is expected to set a time in Sheffield to put herself in contention for a 4x200m Freestyle Relay spot but has ruled herself out of competing in the individual event at London 2012.

First trials: Robbie Renwick won gold and booked an individual place while Ieuan Lloyd, Rob Bale and Ross Davenport joined him in qualifying for the relay. Lloyd's final time of 1:47.68 was under the FINA A time and anyone wishing to beat him to the second individual spot will have to go faster in Sheffield.

Ieuan Lloyd British Swimming

Men's 400m Freestyle

Spaces available: One

Day: Wednesday 20th June (Day One)

Qualification Time: 3:48.92

Potential contenders: Ieuan Lloyd (PB 3:48.86) (pictured), David Carry (PB 3:47.17)

First trials: Robbie Renwick won gold while David Carry and Ieuan Lloyd followed him home for silver and bronze respectively. Both Carry and Lloyd ducked beneath the FINA A time in London and they look the main contenders to challenge for the remaining Olympic spot.

Chris Walker-Hebborn British Swimming

Men's 100m Backstroke

Spaces available: One

Day: Friday 22nd June (Day Three)

Qualification Time: 54.40

Potential contenders: Chris Walker-Hebborn (PB 54.46) (pictured), Marco Loughran (PB 54.40), Ryan Bennett (PB 54.88)

First trials: Liam Tancock stormed to gold ahead of Chris Walker-Hebborn and Marco Loughran in silver and bronze respectively. Walker-Hebborn's 54.46 in the final was a PB but the British Gas ITC Bath swimmer will need to knock the remaining 0.04 seconds off to seal the individual place at London 2012.

Karley Mann British Swimming

Women's 200m Backstroke

Spaces available: One

Day: Friday 22nd June (Day Three)

Qualification Time: 2:10.84

Potential contenders: Georgia Hohmann (PB 2:09.71), Steph Proud (PB 2:08.91), Karley Mann (PB 2:10.30) (pictured)

First trials: European champion Lizzie Simmonds won gold ahead of Steph Proud and Karley Mann. The trio of Proud, Mann and Georgia Hohmann have all beaten the FINA A qualification time already this season - the latter two with personal bests - and look destined to battle it out for the remaining spot.

Calum Jarvis British Swimming

Men's 200m Backstroke

Spaces available: Two

Day: Thursday 21st June (Day Two)

Qualification Time: 1:58.48

Potential contenders: Chris Walker-Hebborn (PB 1:56.05), Marco Loughran (PB 1:58.16), Calum Jarvis (PB 1:59.48) (pictured)

First trials: Calum Jarvis was a surprise victor in London but his PB 1:59.48 fell exactly one second short of the qualification time. His two main rivals for qualification in Sheffield will likely be training partner Chris Walker-Hebborn and Guildford's Marco Loughran, both of whom ducked under the qualification time at last year's ASA Nationals.

Sophie Allen British Swimming

Women's 100m Breaststroke

Spaces available: One

Day: Friday 22nd June (Day Three)

Qualification Time: 1:08.49

First trials: Kate Haywood stormed to gold in London and while Stacey Tadd clocked a personal best for silver, it was 0.47 shy of the FINA A time. Sophie Allen ducked under the FINA A time with a PB in the semi-finals in London and will look to lower it again and seal her second individual place at the Games to go with her 200m Individual Medley.

Molly Renshaw British Swimming

Women's 200m Breaststroke

Spaces available: One

Day: Thursday 21st June (Day Two)

Qualification Time: 2:26.89

Potential contenders: Molly Renshaw (PB 2:26.81) (pictured)

First trials: Stacey Tadd booked her individual Olympic spot with gold while Molly Renshaw won silver, her result wasn't faster than the qualification time for runners-up in London. However, with the FINA A time the only qualification barrier in Sheffield, a repeat of her 2:26.81 performance would see her make the London 2012 team.

Antony James British Swimming

Men's 100m Butterfly

Spaces available: One

Day: Thursday 21st June (Day Two)

Qualification Time: 52.36

Potential contenders: Antony James (PB 51.92) (pictured), Jack Marriott (PB 52.49)

First trials: Michael Rock booked his only Olympic place in London ahead of Jack Marriott and Antony James in silver and bronze respectively. James went under the FINA A standard at last year's ASA Nationals while Marriott's PB from London was just 0.13 seconds short.
